Winterguard
Winterguard, or "Sport of the Arts" choreographs dance, flag, sabre and rifle in a 5 minute presentation set to music. Winterguard is similar to the Rhythmic Gymnastics team competitions held at the Summer Olympic Games.
Founded in 1990, the Bishop Grandin Winterguard has entertained audiences throughout Alberta and provided off-season training for Colourguard students at Bishop Grandin High School.
The Bishop Grandin Winterguard competes in the scholastic division of the Canadian Winterguard Association with 15-20 performers annually. They are consistently recognized for their high performance quality and innovative productions.
